About the Artist

Started potting in the sixties while at Teachers Training College in New Zealand Completed an Art Diploma at RMIT in 1971 and then went on to teach Pottery at tertiary level in Launceston Tasmania. At the same time started making and selling pottery under the workshop name ‘Crickhollow Pottery’. Physically textured functional pots were the initial focus which developed into visually textured surfaces with glaze on glaze decoration and macro-crystal line glaze effects. Work may be found in a number of national and international collections as well as many private collections Now no longer teaching but working as a full time potter and edging into sculpture with a recently completed bronze foundry. First castings have been exercises in foundry processes and for subject matter have recreated textured clay pots in bronze.
